RatePoint allows you to rate websites and products and then connects you to people who have added similar ratings. So far I’ve only found ratings for websites, so that’s mostly what I covered in this screencast.

Phuser helps you plan events easily all in one place. Since all events are not always the same, phuser lets you add phuseblocks to your invites. Phuseblocks consist of a calendar, polls, messages, etc. Phuser also lets you communicate with your friends via email and SMS.

Nozbe is a web-based application designed to help you get things done. You can organize your tasks into contexts and with the “next action” feature you’ll always see what you need to do next in order to move forward with a project. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the screencasts already provided by Nozbe.com until after I finished this, so you may want to check those out as well. I posted them on demogirl.com.
Rota Board is a free service that allows you to create and keep track of your staff’s schedules. There’s also a notification option which allows your staff to view their schedule online.
RecipeZaar is a place to find new recipes and menu ideas. Users can create a cookbook to store all their recipes, create meal plans and shopping lists, and even find menus with entire meals already planned out. These features are all available with the free account but there is a lot more you can do if you sign up for a premium membership. As of now there are over 200,000 recipes, 68,000 photos, and 13,000 cookbooks. RecipeZaar has been around for years but I only found it about six months ago. I use it so often I thought I would share it with those who may not know about it.
Yaplet allows you to start conversations with people who are viewing the same web page as you. You can start a yaplet chat room of your own to discuss certain topics and search for chat rooms using keywords. There is a yaplet bookmarklet so you can easily start chatting and you don’t have to sign up in order to use yaplet.
Excites is a social bookmarking site where you can store all of your favorite websites. Users can keep bookmarks private or make them public, subscribe to tags to be notified about relevant bookmarks, and use the excites bookmarklet to quickly add a website to their bookmarks.
Lycos Mix is a place where you can take all of your favorite videos from MySpace, YouTube, and Google Video and create different mixes with them. Each mix has a chatroom and a place for viewers to leave comments. If your mix is open to the public, other users can add videos to your mix.
GoodWidgets is a tool that helps you make photo widgets for your website or blog. It’s completely free to use and it only takes a few minutes to create your own photo widget.
