With Google Transit you can create trip planners based on the public transportation in your city. You can customize your trip with starting and ending points, specific dates and times, and even compare driving directions. The only bummer for some people is that it’s only available in select cities right now.

ShackPrices is a service that uses Google Maps to find real estate. They also have a nice feature that shows you what’s nearby in the neighborhood of your choice. Right now it’s only available for Western Washington neighborhoods, but it seems hopeful that will soon change.
