Where’s the love?
Recently I received a very nice compliment from Allen over at CenterNetworks via a comment on demogirl. He always has kind words to say and occasionally we’ll exchange emails. Now maybe it’s just the girly in me but I really enjoy getting an occasional “job well done” by a fellow blogger. It got me thinking about the demo I recently did for Kudos. It’s a service that’s aimed at companies who want to send out appreciation to their employees to let them know their work was not overlooked. It’s not money, but it can give you a warm and fuzzy feeling inside to know that someone likes what you’re putting out. I think there needs to be something like that out there for bloggers. Nobody wants to leave a mushy, “you did a really great job on that story today buddy” in the comments of someones post. But, if there was some way to send them a quick message that didn’t go to their private email and was also kept private from the rest of the world that would be cool. Kind of like IM, but not. Again, maybe it’s the girly in me.

Hey Molly,
I’m one of the guys working on Kudos & just got back from vacation to find your ’screeniac’ of our app. Great job!
We’re working on the “community” version of the site as we speak, and the blogger aspect is something we hadn’t really thought of. Its a really good idea, and I have a decent vision of how something like that might work, but if you have any further thoughts on this I’d love to hear more!
